Who We Are

  • Arizona Gourd Society has over 200 members
  • Arizona is the second largest gourd society in the United States, second only to California, according to the American Gourd Society, with 8 sanctioned patches. More than half our members also belong to a gourd patch.
  • We are non-profit, existing to help our members.

What We Do

  • Encourage, educate and mentor all gourd artists
  • Keep in touch with quarterly newsletters and website
  • Arrange Fun Member Play Dates statewide
  • Run the annual state competition

Yavapai Gourd Patch

Meets on the 3rd Wednesday at

Chino Valley United Methodist Church

  10:00am - Noon  

There will be no regular scheduled meeting in July  and December.These months are reserved for special occasions.  

Winter Months: Please call Deb Spirito,  928-499-0803, if roads are bad and you want to make sure we haven’t cancelled the meeting.  Please join us.

Covers Northwest Maricopa County.  Lizard Flats Gourd Artists has new meeting place and time.

Gourd Gypsies Gourd Patch

Covers the Far west Maricopa County.  Meets on the 2nd Thursday at  215 W Van Buren St, Avondale, AZ 85323 .

Southwest Phoenix Gourd Patch

Meets the 3rd Wednesday.   The Southwest Gourd Association meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the Maricopa County Extension Office, 4341 E. Broadway, Phoenix. The driveway is on the South side of Broadway and is immediately East of the streetlight at 43rd Street. The meetings are in the evenings at 7 pm and usually over by 9 pm.

Spirit of the Desert Gourd Patch

Meets the 3rd Thursday in Sun Lakes.

Old Pueblo Gourd Patch

The Old Pueblo Gourd Patch serves the Tucson, Arizona area.We meet the last MONDAY of each month at 6 PM.   

Our NEW meeting location is at the Blue Raven Art School, located at 720 East Prince Avenue, just to the east of 1st Ave. Click here for a map.

Parking is limited, but you can park across the street on in the back lot.
