July 20, 2019 – Sponsored by AzGS, hosted by the Old Pueblo Gourd Patch of Tucson.
When: Saturday, July 20, 2019, 10:00am to 4:00pm (or later if we want)
Where: Old Pueblo Lapidary Building at 3118 N. Dale Ave, Tucson (Near the intersection of Fort Lowell and Algernon). Detailed directions are available at http://www.lapidaryclub.org/directions/index.shtml
How much: FREE to AzGS members!
If you aren’t an AzGS member and want to join, visit the Membership page here: arizonagourdsociety.org/membership to join online or download an application. The annual dues (January-December) are just $10 and you can bring your application and payment to the event.
Join us for fun, friends (current and new), and food. We’ll be indoors with air conditioning! Bring your own gourd project to work on. If you want, take breaks to participate in any or all of the hands-on demonstrations. Please do not bring power carving tools, the dust and noise make it hard to carry on conversations and during the demos.
RSVP: Send your RSVP to Peggy Jo Hays, 614-599-5715, firstname.lastname@example.org, no later than Friday, July 12th, so we can arrange for enough demo supplies and food to satisfy everyone.
3 Hands-on Demonstrations
Supplies will be available, but bring your own if you have a particular idea in mind: Shards (circles, free form, 2.5 inch bowls, and flat lids), beads (seed beads for Huichol), waxed linen thread, beeswax, and leather lacing.
